Biography

Siyang Hao is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Brown University, where he is working on his thesis titled “Surfing on Vortices: Interaction of Flapping Flight in Vortex Wake” under the guidance of Prof. Kenny Breuer. His research focuses on the aerodynamics and wake interactions of flapping flight.

Siyang earned his Master’s degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2019. Prior to his studies at USC, he completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA) in 2017.
